LGBT rights group endorses straight Corporate Dems over LGBT challengers

The Human Rights Campaign has endorsed incumbent Tom Carper in the Senate race in Delaware.

Carper (who also beats his wife) might be the one of the worst Senate Democrats (along with Joe Manchin, Dianne Feinstein, Bob Menendez, Chuck Schumer - actually most of them are pretty bad, so that's not saying much). He voted for the Iraq War (strike one, you're out), the Keystone pipeline, and the Bank Lobbyist Act. He opposes Medicare for All and a living wage. He was also the only Democrat still in the Senate to vote for the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh (the authoritarian, anti-civil liberties, anti-due process judge soon to be our next Supreme Court Justice) to be a judge on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals in 2006.

Not only that, but while he was Governor of Delaware, he signed a law defining "marriage as between a man and a woman," and didn't fully support same-sex marriage until 2013.

Wanna know what really adds insult to injury?
They endorsed him over Justice Democrat Kerri Evelyn Harris - who is lesbian.

The so-called gay rights group endorsed a wife-beater who didn't fully support gay marriage until five years ago over someone who's gay.

And that's not all.

HRC has also endorsed New York Governor Andrew Cuomo over Cynthia Nixon, who's also a lesbian Justice Democrat. (But in Cuomo's defense, he is a Muslim, Jewish, black, gay, disabled woman seeking to control her own body.)

So a gay rights group is backing straight corporatists over the people who they claim to be fighting for.

We now know the truth about HRC. They don't actually care about gays - they use them. They're just a corporate-friendly PAC hiding behind identity politics.
