Did #OpDeSanitize work?

By THOMAS REICH | AUG 22, 2018

Things have changed since I talked about #OpDeSanitize.

It would seem that MSNBC and even CNN (which lied about WMD's to push us into the Iraq War) have covered the Yemen crisis.

MSNBC's Chris Hayes did a segment over the savages - er, I mean, Saudis - bombing a school bus full of children in Yemen with a bomb we sold to them, killing at least 43. This was the first time that MSNBC mentioned Yemen in more than a year.

It appears that even CNN (the cheerleaders for Trump bombing Syria) covered this.

So did #OpDeSanitize actually work?

Yes. Yes it did.

An online movement entirely made up of a few concerned, libertarian-minded citizens was actually able to pressure corporate media into covering war crimes that our government is partaking in.

Had the movement not taken off, it would be very unlikely that the mainstream media would cover this very real humanitarian crisis.

But we the people were actually able to pressure the media into doing their job.

MSM praising Christine Hallquist just because she's transgender

By THOMAS REICH | AUG 18, 2018

Christine Hallquist won the Democratic primary for governor in Vermont, making her the first transgender nominee from a major party in a gubernatorial race.

The mainstream media is praising her for this fact.

This is absolutely pathetic.

Don't get me wrong. I actually support Hallquist, but not because she's transgender.

She's a Justice Democrat. She supports single-payer healthcare, tuition-free college, a living wage, paid leave, criminal justice reform, and campaign finance reform.

The mainstream media is playing into identity politics and completely ignoring the progressive policies that she fights for.

They did the same thing with Rashida Tlaib, who won the MI-13 primary, hailing her for potentially being the first Muslim woman in the House, instead of for her progressive platform.

Deedra Abboud is a Muslim woman who's running for Senate in Arizona. Kerri Evelyn Harris is a black lesbian who's running for Senate in Delaware. Both of the…

Bill Cimbrelo calls for Bush administration to be prosecuted

By THOMAS REICH | AUG 18, 2018

Bill Cimbrelo is stepping in hot water with the Establishment.

So you know he's doing something right.

On Thursday, he tweeted a poll.

"Should there be a Congressional hearing to prosecute and convict the perpetrators of the lies and deceptions (former Pres. Bush et al.) leading up to the slaughter of 1000's of innocent Iraqis and our US Military, so others do not continue to act with impunity[?]" Cimbrelo tweeted.

At least 420 of the total 428 who answered the poll answered yes (including myself, of course). That means 98% agreed that we should prosecute Dubya and his administration for lying and pushing us into the Iraq War, which killed around 200,000 Iraqi civilians.

Cimbrelo asked whether or not we should prosecute them, so he didn't specifically call for their prosecution.

But we know what he stands for. We know that he was expecting most people to say yes. We know what he was suggesting.

He did what very few Democratic politicians wo…

Who is Bill Cimbrelo?

By THOMAS REICH | AUG 15, 2018

As you may know, unfortunately, Kaniela Ing lost the HI-01 primary to corporate Blue Dog Ed Case, who outspent him (with corporate money, of course) and received more coverage by the mainstream media.

Brent Welder also lost KS-03, and though there's a chance the primary was rigged, the fact that he too received little coverage factors into his loss greatly.

Our guys lost because the mainstream media ignored them.

So how did Alex Ocasio-Cortez win?

Independent media sites like Evil Liberals talked about her, and y'all spread the word on social media. (Y'all are awesome!)

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough of that for Kaniela or Brent, and I'm very afraid that there won't be enough for Bill Cimbrelo.

Who is Bill Cimbrelo?

Cimbrelo is an Argentine-born environmental chemist who's running for the House in Massachusetts's 9th congressional district against incumbent New Democrat Bill Keating.

He supports Medicare for All, tuition-free c…

What is #OpDeSanitize?

By THOMAS REICH | AUG 12, 2018

So, you may have seen people tweeting the #OpDeSanitize hashtag lately. You may have also seen people using an #OpDeSanitize filter on their profile pics. I myself have hopped on the bandwagon.

So what exactly is #OpDeSanitize?

#OpDeSanitize is a hashtag that's meant to highlight the mainstream media's refusal to cover the atrocities happening in Yemen.

In case you don't know, our "ally", Saudi Arabia, is bombing innocent civilians with weapons that we are supplying to them. (But hey, at least Trump didn't bow, right?)

Just three days ago, the terrorist Saudis bombed a school bus, killing at least 43, most of whom were children.

The hashtag is particularly targeting MSNBC, the so-called "Network of the Resistance."

MSNBC did at least 455 segments on Stormy Daniels, but absolutely zero on Yemen.

Fifty-three percent of Rachel Maddow's coverage is on Russia - 0% is on Yemen.

The propaganda wing of the Democratic Party cares mo…

Was the KS-03 primary rigged?

By THOMAS REICH | AUG 11, 2018

Unfortunately, Justice Democrat Brent Welder lost the Democratic primary in Kansas's 3rd congressional district on Monday to wrestler Sharice Davids, who is being hailed by the mainstream media for being a Native American lesbian. (Awesome job at focusing on policy, guys.)

I don't need to tell you bad this already is on the surface. The JD platform is extremely popular, even in deep red states like Kansas. The Democrat's current strategy of trying to run a centrist platform based on identity politics and vacuous talking points has almost always resulted in the Republicans taking hold of our government. (Remember 2016?!)

It gets much worse - possibly even conspiratorial.

The polls were showing that Brent was leading. Then, suddenly, there was an "error" in the voting machines.

The progressive was leading. They found an "error". The Establishment candidate won.

Are we just supposed to swallow this?

Was it hacked by malevolent, anti-…

Obama, Humana CEO receiving human rights award

By THOMAS REICH | AUG 11, 2018

Obama is getting a human rights award.

Obama. Getting a human rights award.

This is irony on steroids.

Yes, Obama is to receive the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award (an award honoring global leaders of various fields for "their exceptional work toward a more just and peaceful world"), alongside New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Discovery CEO David Zaslav, and Humana CEO Bruce Broussard.

Double the irony: the CEO of Humana is also getting the award. A CEO from an industry that price gouges, steals taxpayer money, fails at its purpose, and has death panels is receiving a human rights award.

But back to the larger scandal: Obama.

This is an insult to actual human rights activists.

Under Obama's presidency, we went from being involved in two wars to being involved in seven. He ordered 563 drone strikes (almost 10 times the amount under Dubya), resulting in anywhere from 384 to 807 dead civilians, including a 16-year-old American citizen.

He quite p…
